With Labor Day weekend on the horizon, autumn is all ready to set into motion. September is a particularly important month for fall fashion as it hosts the iconic “September Issue” of Vogue Magazine, Fashion Week in New York City and Fashion Night Out across the globe. Retailers are moving out all new merchandise to accommodate the back to school shopping rush. So what are the biggest fall fashion trends for 2013? We’ve narrowed it down to 3 top trends for women’s fashion for fall.
Fashion photographers snapped the fall/winter runway shows way back at the beginning of the year, so we already have a good idea of what designer’s have in store for the fall season. The first fashion trend that we’d like to mention is the continuation of the military trend seen last season. Instead of green military inspired light jackets, look for cameoflage to be all the rage. Look for the camo print in all new colors and pattern sizes. Fashion designers Christopher Kane, Michael Kors and Rebecca Minkoff have all included a nod to camouflage in their new autumn collections.
Another trend for autumn clothing, is what we call, “The Annie Hall Trouser”. Statement pants are the cat’s meow this season and allow you to be fashionable without sacrificing any warmth in the chilled autumn air. Look for fun patterns and colors in all styles of pants: jeans, palazzo pants and tuxedo inspired trousers.
Last but not least, we’d like to cover the fall fashion look of peasant dresses. Yves Saint Laurent or YSL, has produced a wonderful garment inspired by this look for almost $4,000 but fear not, H&M has created some very similar alternatives that will have you raving.
As summer comes to a close, start to clear out some space in your closet.
