Deity Events

Housed in a former Synagogue, this One-of-a-Kind venue was lovingly renovated and now operated by a husband and wife team. With a successful 5 year run as a nightclub, Deity has transitioned into one of the most unique wedding venues in New York City.

Monique and Siomara

This romantic wedding trailer and photo shoot beautifully portray the genuine love between one of our favorite same sex couples, Monique & Siomara and make us proud to be HUGE supporters of the LGBT community! Their big day was filled with heartfelt well wishes, promises of eternal love, good food and awesome music. Add in the fact that it all took place at one of our favorite downtown Brooklyn wedding venues, Deity Events, and you got yourself the perfect day! Our photography and video team captured the Brides getting ready , followed by a first look and portrait session in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Our friend Rev. Samora officiated their ceremony and ushered the two into matrimony as our team captured every special moment. Be sure to check out their gallery and get your tissues ready !

Helen and Dante

Our popular elopement photography isn’t just for Central Park ceremonies! Helen and Dante booked one of our hourly wedding packages to capture the most special moments of their big day at the popular downtown Brooklyn venue, Deity Events. The key to elopement photography is making sure the wedding timeline is perfect! (and when hosting an event in NYC, that is no easy task!) Our wedding planner sat down with the pair to make sure we knew exactly what they wanted captured. No time was wasted when our photographer arrived and he captured their Jewish ceremony perfectly. From intimate moments shared during their vow exchange to romantic Bride and Groom photos after wards outdoors, the newlyweds couldn’t be more happy! We even had time to snap a few photos of the candelit reception before heading out. Check it out!

Laura and Mike

Whoever said rain on your wedding day means good luck was on to something!! Laura and Mike didn’t let a few showers stop the show on their big day and even brought along customized wedding umbrellas as props! Our photographer threw on his rain boots and headed downtown to capture the happy couple before their evening celebration at Deity. The Bride and Groom got ready at Nu Hotel on Smith Street and took fun photos at Brooklyn Bridge Park before their ceremony with their wedding party (how cute are the pics at Jane’s Carousel). The adorable couple managed to stay picture perfect and joined their guests at the venue after wards. We loved the personal touches at their reception like the two signature cocktails (one from the bride and one from the groom)! Their photo gallery came out perfect despite the rain and we think it actually made it very romantic! See for yourself..

If a rainy wedding day symbolizes good luck for your marriage then snow must mean the newlyweds are of to a great start! One of the many benefits of a having a winter wedding, the snow allowed this couple to take advantage of one of the few times NYC slows down ! Our photo and video team threw on their winter gear and joined Meredith and Jonathan in Brooklyn for a beautiful wedding shoot. After their first look in Brooklyn Bridge park, the couple headed over to one of our favorite venues, Deity Events on Atlantic avenue for their ceremony and reception. In spite of (or maybe due to) the snowy weather outside, their photo and video came out great, check it out!

Alexandria and Sohail

In our experience, the couples that choose to get married in Brooklyn, are not your typical “white wedding” Bride and Groom. They want a venue that offers a unique setting, wedding photos that incorporate an artisitc flair and more then not, they aren’t interested in spending half their wedding day posing in ackward positions gazing into each others eyes. In other words, Brooklyn wedding clients are pretty cool ! And what’s cooler than a Bride in a mermaid dress and leather jacket? Our photography team had the honor of capturing the Deity wedding of Alexandria and Sohail and were thoroughly impressed with the level of cool at this celebration. Check it out!

Paul and Mark

What do you get when you combine two handsome grooms, a unique 3-level former night club turned wedding venue, and a famous reality-TV female impersonator ? An amazing one-of-a-kind Brooklyn wedding that’s what! Our photography team had the honor of capturing the big day of Paul and Mark at one of our favorite venues, Deity Events in downtown Brooklyn and were not disappointed! The grooms weren’t afraid to step away from the traditional wedding décor and created a cute “till death do we part” theme for their reception. Later that night they treated their guests to a jaw dropping performance from their officiant that is sure to go down in wedding reception history! Check it out!

Eden and Greg

In a city with over 1000 wedding venues you have to offer something unique to get noticed by engaged couples seeking a place to tie the knot. Onsite ceremony space, exclusive use of the venue for their entire wedding, or beautiful grounds for post-ceremony portraits are just a few ways venues are rolling out the red carpet for their clients. Our photography team recently had the honor of capturing this beautiful couple Eden and Greg at one of our favorite Brooklyn-based venues, Deity Events, who recently underwent renovations to add a few extras that are sure to has take them to the top of the wedding venue list in NYC.
