Our photographers love engagement season! It’s a great time to get to know our wedding clients before the big day and provide them with some practice in front of the camera while scoring great photos for the save the dates. NYC has plenty of great places for outdoor shoots to choose from but we are partial to the diveristy of Brooklyn locations. This adorable same sex couple chose the Prospect Park area and Grand Army Plaza for their shoot, check it out…View the gallery
Same Sex Weddings
Everyone knows that living in New York is a fairy tale and Le Image has made a career out of photographing happily ever afters.
This hip same-sex Brooklyn celebration is one for the books. Not only are the brides both gorgeous but they were naturals in front of the camera. Everything was perfect, from their first look in a Williamsburg park by the East River to their outdoor ceremony filled with special memories about how they met and fell in love. Our photographer and videographer were excited to return to My Moon. The restaurant and event space housed in a 19th century building offers clients all-inclusive packages with easy accessibility (the subway is 3 blocks away). The reception was filled with touching (and funny) speeches about the Brides and once the party got started this awesome crowd kept the dance floor rocking! Check it out..Check it out!
Our photography and video team had a great time capturing this Brooklyn LGBT wedding celebration. Josephine and Heidi are such a cute couple and after years of friendship and creating a strong romantic love we know their marriage is built to last! They exchanged vows at one of our favorite venues, Maison May Dekalb in a beautiful ceremony performed by officiant, Alice Soloway (long time supporter of the LGBT community) and their video trailer was the perfect addition to their photography package. Josephine was stunning in a classic ivory wedding gown and Heidi looked picture perfect in a custom wedding tux! Check it out.View the gallery
Riverside Church, located in the Morningside Heights section of Manhattan, is an interracial, international and interdenominational church that welcomes all people. The church offers a beautiful 13th century Gothic cathedral and five additional spaces for weddings ceremonies and receptions. Our clients, Tracy and Lauren chose the historic venue for their big day and our photo and video team had a blast capturing it all. From the getting ready process at Hotel Beacon to the awesome dance party at the end of the night, their wedding was a day to remember. Check it out!View the gallery
Located at the tip of Long Island, nestled next to the Fort Pond Bay, East by Northeast offers engaged couples a breathtaking bay side wedding venue that is sure to impress! The 3-hour drive from Manhattan to Montauk will give your guests a “destination wedding” feel as soon as they arrive at the restaurant. Our photography team joined this beautiful same sex couple for their big day and had a great time capturing it all! From the quaint waterfront cottage to the outdoor ceremony and reception after wards, the day couldn’t have been more perfect. Check it out!View the gallery
Anyone who has ever been in a long term relationship (the 3-week fling on spring break doesn’t count!) can attest to the fact that the success of your relationship depends not only on the compatibility of your partner but the amount of work both of you are willing to put in. Once the wedding cake has been eaten, rice has been thrown and you and your honey walk hand-in-hand into matrimony, a tremendous amount of compromise and dedication will be necessary to carry you into your happily ever after. Our photography and video team had the honor of capturing the beautiful elopement celebration of Paul and Brian in Central Park’s Shakespeare Garden. Together for over ten years, these two handsome grooms are fully committed to a lifetime of happiness together and are an inspiration to all couples. Check it out!View the gallery
According to CNN Money, the average cost for a wedding in New York City is said to be around $87,000 (the going rate for a brand new house in Augusta, Georgia). Moving the celebration to the outer boroughs of NYC will save you about 30 grand while crossing the GWB to NJ will run you about 40K for a wedding. While we can all agree that even the “cheaper option” is no small chunk of change, couples are finding ways to cut cost on their big day. Take for instance, this beautiful same sex couple, Vicky & Tina. Our photography and video team recently had the honor of capturing their big day at Brooklyn-based venue, Giando on the Water. The brides followed some of the tips given by wedding-industry pro’s for cutting costs and we think it turned out great!Check it out!
It’s every little girls dream to one day fall madly in love, plan the perfect wedding, and marry her soulmate (on a cloudless summer day, in a custom jaw-dropping dress and Louboutin heels of course)! However, most of us aren’t as lucky as this gorgeous bride, who actually had all her dreams realized! Niesha & Marisol tied the knot on the rooftop of the beautiful wedding venue, Midtown Loft & Terrace and our videography team was there to capture every moment. This brides advice to women planning their big day…, “go with your heart you only have one first wedding. If you have a vision go with it and don’t worry about the nay sayers!” Be sure to check out their romantic wedding trailer!Check it out!
Living in a city as diverse and populous as New York you can meet your potential life partner anywhere! On a crowded subway platform, in Starbucks while ordering their latest over-priced concoation or even at a baseball game! As was the case with this beautiful same sex couple Constantina & Victoria! We joined the couple at Brooklyn Botanical Garden for engagement photos and learned a little more about their beginning of their love story…
“Our love story isn’t cliche at all, it’s actually kind of odd if you ask us, …we met in high school and we actually played on the same softball team for 2 years. But the funny thing is we never really noticed each other in those years…I mean we were two totally different girls from different cliques….
Imagine spending your wedding day enjoying majestic views from open-air balconies, rhythmic sound of waves crashing softly against the shore and breathtaking sunsets ushering you into matrimony… …now imagine that you can experience this only 1-hour outside of NYC! That’s exactly what Jill & Cheryl orchestrated for their summer waterfront wedding! Our photographers had the honor of joining this amazing same sex couple in the Huntington section of Long Island, NY to capture an unforgettable event!View the gallery
Brooklyn, NY is a great place to throw a party! There are hundreds of venues, bars, lounges and outdoor spaces that are sure to please. Whether you want something elegant or laid back and casual you can find a wedding venue to satisfy your taste (and budget). Our recent client, Fabienne & Philana, a pair of breathtaking brides, chose Dumbo, Brooklyn for their big day and it turned out perfect! They exchanged vows in Brooklyn Bridge Park, walked a few blocks to their venue, 26 Bridge Street; a former factory converted into a beautiful industrial style wedding venue; and partied the night away with their family and friends. The same sex couple added details to personalize their day (check out the awesome marching band) and tell their love story. Our photographers had a blast shooting this wedding and were honored to be a part of it.View the gallery
New York City heated up a bit this past December thanks to these handsome grooms, David & James. All the way from the UK, they visited the Big Apple to become life partners in an intimate Central Park elopement. Our photographers captured amazing photos of the newlyweds as they made their way around the iconic tourist spots in NYC. They posed (like veteran models by the way) by the Manhattan Bridge, turned heads as they had intimate moments under the arches of Central Park and had a few laughs as they gazed at the Manhattan skyline. The newlyweds wore slim navy suits and we loved their sleek sophisticated look! It was a pleasure to share in the elopement of David and James!View the gallery
These handsome grooms weren’t nervous at all for their big day. They got ready together at the beautiful Le Parker Meridien on west 56th street. Before the reception in the Azekka room of the hotel they shared some intimate moments on the terrace of their suite. Ed & Rifat personalized their wedding with engraved platinum wedding bands and live guitar music. Their guest knew how to party and were eager to help celebrate this same sex marriage! Our photographers had a blast as well.View the gallery
It’s been said that it’s actually good luck if it rains on your wedding day. One thing is for sure; these grooms didn’t let the showers “rain on their parade”. Richard & Kartik were in great spirits as they got ready for their big day! Our photography and video team started with them at the 20th street Highline Hotel in Manhattan. We knew they had great taste when we spotted the little blue tiffany boxes! It turned out to be a beautiful day as they posed for intimate wedding photos throughout the city streets and celebrated their union at Moran’s Restaurant with their close family and friends.View the gallery
Brooklyn natives, this same sex couple wanted a casual outdoor ceremony to celebrate their marriage. Adam & Ryan took their vows at the Brooklyn French country kitchen, ICI. Our photographers love the intimate feel this venue offers. The grooms had their first look at Nu Hotel on smith street and took portraits in Fort Greene park. Everyone had a ball and sent the happy couple off with wedding sparklers!View the gallery
This stylish couple headed to Central Park’s Wagner cove to become husbands. They wore pastel button downs with slacks for their outdoor ceremony and looked great for their photos! Rev. Samora of Common Grounds Ceremonies performed a sand ceremony, which is symbolic of two lives becoming one as the grains of sand mix. Our photography team caught the two grooms as they stole a kiss behind the blooming trees of the park. This new york elopement was perfect.View the gallery
These two were clearly overjoyed to become spouses in this Central Park elopement. They married under the wooden arch of The Cop Cot and expressed their love for each other as they took their vows. Our photographers loved Dee’s distinct style (and so did Shannon!) Not traditional in any sense, these biracial lesbian brides take chances and we love it! Shannon wore a knee length strapless dress to show off her tattoos, while Dee tied her beautiful locs into a conservative bun! Our team fit right in with this hip crowd!View the gallery
Besides their names, these grooms have a lot in common. Both very fashionable and lovers of the Corgi breed, Michael & Michael seem like the perfect match! They chose to become husbands at the rustic Green Building in Carroll Gardens section of Brooklyn. They shared a champagne toast with friends before heading out for their big day. The same sex wedding ceremony was filled with touching accounts of how they met (even their dog chimed in!) Our photography team caught all the special moments between the two including the sweat inducing dance party reception afterwards!View the gallery
Who said a wedding in a rush means you had to miss out on anything? Not our team of cinematographers! We filmed the elopement of this lesbian couple, K&D this summer in beautiful Central Park. A shorter version of our traditional wedding videos, it will serve as a touching keepsake for these brides. Serenaded by live guitar and a vocalist (their officiant) they had a touching outdoor spring ceremony that had just as much love as a full day wedding!Watch the video
These brides and their wedding guests sure know how to party! We met Sarah & Haidee when they were looking for a photographer to shoot their engagement photos and we have loved them ever since! These two live life on the edge and wanted a wedding that would reflect their wild side. Deity Lounge in Brooklyn was the perfect venue for this lesbian couple. They took wedding portraits at the old Tobacco warehouse in Dumbo where exposed brick and arched walkways provided the perfect backdrop. They became wives in an intimate ceremony before bringing down the house with family and friends at their awesome reception!View the gallery
Gary & John’s wedding video is proof that Love is blind and it does not discriminate based on age, color or sexual orientation! This gay couple’s love story is one of the most touching we have had the privilege of shooting! Together for 38 years; they were finally able to become husbands in a beautiful ceremony at Alger House in the Village of NYC. Our videographers dare you to watch this romantic wedding video and not shed a tear!Watch the video
The legalization of gay marriage in New York finally granted the right of ALL couples to become spouses and Le Image team couldn’t have been more thrilled! This action was particularly special to this gay couple, having been together for 17 years prior, they got engaged the day after the ruling! They become husbands in a traditional Catholic ceremony and hosted their wedding reception at the Brooklyn Winery with their closest family and friends. Our photographers were honored to be not only a part of the movement, but more specifically part of Tony & Michaels big day!View the gallery
The cinematography style video of Michael & Michael’s big day was the perfect compliment to their wedding photos. Our videographers started filming at their Carroll Gardens home as they prepared for their big day. They included personalized touches at their reception including customized M&M (get it? Michael & Michael!) The Green Building offered a beautiful space for the celebration and everyone was on the dance floor at the end of the night!Watch the video
We had the great pleasure of providing the photography and video coverage for this adorable gay couple. Tony & Michael donned top hats and bow ties and helped each other get ready in their Brooklyn home.
