NYC Elopement Photography
Planning a wedding is exciting (and sometimes scary) by itself. So when Tara & Ronan decided to plan their intimate destination wedding in the Big Apple, they knew they were in for a treat! The great thing about getting married in a city as diverse as New York is you can customize the perfect wedding based on what’s important to you as a couple. There are churches to honor every religion imaginable, restaurants with cuisines to satisfy any palate and an array of other celebratory options available. Not to mention the endless possibilities for photo ops throughout the boroughs!
This adorable Irish couple hoped on a plane with a group of their family and friends and made the 7-hour international trip to NYC to become husband and wife. They stayed at the 4-star Fitzpatrick Hotel on Lexington Avenue right in the heart of midtown. This boutique hotel got its start over 30 years ago in Ireland and has since expanded to our great city. Our photographers started with the Bride & Groom as they got ready for their big day and captured photos of all the details. Tara wore a strapless lace-covered wedding dress with a unique pearl and broach bouquet; while Ronan sported diamond accented cufflinks from Savoy Taylors Guild (a fine clothing company for men in London) with his navy blue suit.
The couple stayed true to their Catholic upbringing and wed in the Church of St. Vincent Ferrer a few blocks away before jumping in a taxi (true New Yorker style) to visit popular tourist attractions. They walked hand in hand throughout Central Park and smooched on the red stairs of Times Square (right above the TKTS Booth). Many of our wedding and engagement shoots have taken place at this iconic location!
They later joined their guests for rooftop cocktails before enjoying an intimate dinner at The Rare Bar & Grill (famous for their upscale burgers). Our team was honored to be a part of this destination wedding and hope they come back again soon!
