Raven and Homer
We get it, the girls have ALOT more decisions to make when planning their wedding. Typically the groom and his groomsmen wear a black tuxedo and the hardest decision is whether to choose a traditional tie or bowtie to finish it off. Contrarily, the Bride has thousands of colors and cuts to choose from for her dress and don’t get me started on veil options; blusher, birdcage, cathedral….the list is long.
During the ceremony the Groom waits at the end of the altar while his future wife makes the grand entrance with ALL eyes on her(after everyone has risen to their feet of course). While traditionally the focus is on the Bride on the wedding day, there are a few surefire ways to make sure your guy doesn’t feel left out during the planning process and on your big day.
#1 Don’t tackle your to do list alone. Delegate a few of the wedding tasks to him like finding a photographer & videographer. (Le Image of course!) Your guy will feel in control (I’ve heard this is important for men) when he builds a custom package through our “build your own package tool” and be even more elated when he sees how affordable it is (I hear that’s important to them too).
#2 Be sure to do something special for him on the actual wedding day. Maybe surprise him with a grooms cake (very popular now) or have a box of his favorite cigars sent to his hotel room while he and the guys get ready.
This adorable couple Raven and Homer made sure to include special moments and items that had meaning for both of them into their big day. Our photographer started with the couple at NU Hotel in Brooklyn as they got ready. We loved the Raven’s bright yellow bouquet that coordinated with and Homer’s snazzy grey suit and yellow converse.
The couple spent sometime alone before the ceremony for fun portraits and took the subway to their venue Frankie’s Spuntino, a Brooklyn-based venue serving classic Italian dishes. They exchanged vows in the backyard of the venue before heading inside for dinner where they shared laughs and drinks.
We were honored to be a part of their big day and wish them a lifetime of happiness!
