Glenda and Tomas
Bride Glenda and her Fire-Fighter Groom, Tomas reached out to our studio seeking a 2 photographer/2 Videographer package with engagement shoot to capture their fairytale wedding at the Saint Clements Castle and Marina in Portland, CT. The venue offers over 90 acres of beautifully manicured lawns, unobstructed views of the Connecticut River , charming courtyards and grand ballrooms for your big day. Every couple receives a personal event specialist to assist them in planning every aspect of their wedding day at the venue.
On the big day, our team started with Glenda and her bridesmaids as she got ready in the Bridal Suite. One of the many advantages of choosing 2 photographers for your wedding package is the added coverage you receive. While one photographer captures the getting ready photos the second photographer concentrates on capturing beautiful details of the venue, rings, flowers, dress and accessories, so nothing is missed!
Glenda was stunning in a strapless white gown with beading and mermaid fit. The skirt of her gown was layered in sheer fabric and lace embroidery. She styled her hair in a romantic bun and topped it off with a cathedral length veil that featured more lace details a touch of sparkle! Her Bridal bouquet was a mixture yellow roses and seasonal white flowers clustered together with a silk ribbon.
Tomas wore his fire fighter uniform and looked picture ready! Our team captured a few shots of him in the bar area before heading over to the ceremony location. Their family and friends awaited on the lawn overlooking the river where the outdoor ceremony would take place. Everyone (including our team) were impressed by the grand entrance of the Bride on a horse drawn carriage! The weather was perfect and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky as Glenda made her way to the ceremony area. She was then escorted by her mother and father down the aisle to meet her future husband!
The two exchanged personalized vows and lighted a unity candle (this wedding tradition is symbolic of the joining of two families into one united family) before being pronounced Husband and Wife. After wards the newlyweds took a few photos with their wedding party and returned to the horse and carriage for a romantic ride to the ballroom for their cocktail hour. The reception room was decorated elegantly in white and turquoise accents. Each table featured a beautiful centerpiece of fresh floral arrangements that coordinated with Glenda’s bouquet.
The reception started with the entrance of the newlyweds and their first dance. A live band outfitted in traditional Mexican sombreros got the party started and everyone hit the dance floor! The night was filled with well wishes from their family and friends, good food and of course more dancing!
Our videography team did a great job editing their cinematography style wedding video (they received a trailer and fully edited video) and really captured the romance of their big day.
Our team were honored to be a part of it all and wish them a lifetime of happiness!
