Green Building Wedding
The revitalization of Brooklyn has welcomed many new residents and unique wedding venue options. Brooklyn venues offer couples a cool alternative to Manhattan based spaces with a variety of settings including modern, industrial, rustic and smaller intimate spaces as well. Most of the venues within our hip borough offer flexible pricing, indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces (some with rooftop views) and of course easy access to the historical Brooklyn Bridge Park for your wedding day photos on the water! Our photographers have shot at most of NYC’s venues just like Green Building wedding and love supporting local businesses.
Christina and Teniola contacted our studio after booking The Green Building on Union street seeking an affordable photography and videography package to capture their big day. Directly across the street from 501 Union, a former classic car restoration company turned event space, the two venues are a part of the Gowanus Hospitality Group and offer couples several unique spaces within the venue to get hitched.
Our team started with the gorgeous bride as she got ready at the downtown Nu Hotel. She was absolutely stunning and the camera loved her! Her bridesmaids helped her prep for her Green Building wedding and looked great in peach colored dresses. Christina wore a lace A-line gown with a beautiful chiffon train and veil. Meanwhile her groom put on the finishing touches at The Green Building with his groomsmen. He was picture perfect in a black tuxedo and polka dot bow tie.
The Green Building features original brick walls that offer a dramatic backdrop for your ceremony space. The couple added a simple arch made of greenery and lined the aisle with rose petals.. simply beautiful! The cinematography style wedding trailer features their personalized vows and memories of how they met and fell in love in college.
After being pronounced Husband and Wife, the newlyweds posed for photos in the venue’s garden while the reception was set up. The staff at Green Building did a great job on the décor and our photographer captured great photos of the candle centerpieces and personalized details the couple included.
The couple enjoyed well wishes from their friends and family and even had time to head outside for sunset photos in front of the venue before changing into traditional African wedding clothing and getting the party started.
Our photo and video team had a wonderful time working with this couple and wish them a lifetime of happiness. Be sure to check out their trailer for more footage
