Companies like Zip car and Enterprise Car Share revolutionized the way New Yorkers rented cars. Long gone were the days of schlepping it out to JFK or (god forbid) NJ, to pick up a car-rental for a day trip to the Red Hook Ikea (aren’t their meatballs amazing!) or a weekend trip to Fire Island to avoid the cloudy waters of Orchard Beach! With the introduction of hourly and daily rates, free gas and a pretty decent array of models to choose from, the car-sharing phenomenon was born!
Daimler owned company, car2go, has taken it a step further by offering one-way car-sharing based in up and coming neighborhoods within NYC. After a quick registration process, you receive a card that allows you to access the cars (they also have an app you can use to access the cars). After reserving, simply hop in, (gas up if need be, it’s included!) and when you have reached your final destination, simply park it and leave it!
Another feature that makes this Brooklyn-Based company different from the others, are the compact, exclusively offered, energy-efficient vehicles. For those who want to be kind to the environment (all of their cars are low emission) and those of you with note-worthy parallel parking skills (it’s so compact it can pretty much fit into any parking space) it’s a Win-Win!
car2go even offers business accounts. So if you happen to have an amazing photography studio based in the Sunset Park section of Brooklyn, and you need to allow access for all of your equally amazing photographers and videographers to rent a car, it’s no problem!
Our team of commercial experts had a blast working with this company. Due to their huge success in Brooklyn the brand is expanding to popular locations throughout Queens like Long Island City (have you seen the views!) and Flushing. They wanted to capture the compact cars in various settings throughout the borough and we welcomed the opportunity to flex our photo editing skills in post-production! All in all, this promotional product shoot was a great success and we look forward to working with this revolutionary brand again!
