SHK Magazine – Songs in the Shade
The trendy Manhattanite magazine, SHK Magazine, has published Le Image Inc’s newest fashion editorial, “Songs in the Shade”. Shot entirely in black and white by our New York fashion photographers, our newest fashion shoot features model, Veronica Zoppolo, from New York Model Management.
“Song in the Shade” is a unique editorial selection for a current fashion magazine because it is shot entirely with film photography: a medium format camera and Polaroid camera. We combined this analog medium with the austerity and industrial look of our New York photography studio on the waterfront of Dumbo, Brooklyn. While the fashion is also dark and moody, it has a completely different and unexpected aesthetic, adding another exciting dimension to our fashion story. The styling has elements of the Jean Seberg character in Godard’s iconic film, “Breathless” and also the effortlessly chic style of Bianca Jagger in her hey-day. The femininity of the styling is not overpower but instead adds an interesting juxtaposition of the fashion editorial’s setting. The hairstyling is also effortlessly chic. The look is messy but elegantly coiffed. Le Image Inc is very lucky to work with our hairstylist who is represented by the notable brand, Kerastase Paris.
Le Image prides itself on working with the best talent in the New York fashion world and we are so grateful to have worked with all the talented individuals who contributed to our SHK Magazine editorial. Our images are never predictable or easily consumable, they are artistic and unique, but that is what makes them timeless. Although the images are timeless, our style and aesthetic are constantly changing. This editorial truly shows the current aesthetic of our renowned art direction. Le image Inc will continue its excellence in fashion photography in our Brooklyn photography studio and we look forward to working with other individuals with the same dedication as our studio.
