Alexandra and Shravan
There is something very romantic about choosing to keep it simple and eloping at City Hall. The happy couple is able to focus on one another and the stress of adhering to a timeline, organizing deliveries and managing wedding vendors goes out the window! The requirements to get married at City Hall are simple. Apply for and receive your marriage license, wait at least 24 hours, return to City Hall and get hitched! Of course choosing to exchange vows at City Hall doesn’t mean your big day can’t be special. Our photographers love capturing these quickie ceremonies and always have great ideas for romantic photos after the ceremony in the downtown Manhattan area.
This adorable couple, Alexandra and Shravan contacted our studio seeking a 2-hour elopement photography package to capture their wedding day at the Marriage Bureau and as the photos prove, their day was perfect!
Our photographer met the couple at the Worth street location as they waited to be called. The Bride was stunning and wore a lace gown with long train. Her hands were decorated in traditional Indian henna and she wore a beautiful crystal jewel in her hair. Her groom looked picture perfect in a black suite with white shirt.
Thanks to a recent renovation , the ceremony rooms are large enough to hold several wedding guests and Alexandra and Shravan’s family were able to witness them taking their vows.
After wards the newlyweds received their marriage certificate, enjoyed a few congratulatory hugs from their friends and family and headed outdoors for portraits. Lower Manhattan offers beautiful architecture that make the perfect backdrop for photography. Our editor added in a few black and white wedding photos that really complimented the couples beautiful olive complexions. A quick cab ride to Chelsea, and the session ended with a photo in front of the iconic Flatiron Building.
We were honored to be a part of this celebration and wish the couple a lifetime of happiness!
