The “City Hall” of Brooklyn, the Municipal Building offers couples an elopement alternative to the busier Marriage Bureau in downtown Manhattan. The same rules apply; stop by to apply for your marriage license then come back for a quickie ceremony at the Municipal Building as soon as 24 hours later. The location is easily accessible by both east and west side trains and our photographers have captured beautiful wedding photos at the Municipal Building in Brooklyn. The ceremony room features stained glass artwork and enough room for several guests. The antique gold architecture and long staircases offer great photography options as well as the surrounding area. If getting married at one of the NYC City Halls is is the right choice for you and your honey, be sure to consider making it happen in the hippest borough in New York!

Brooklyn City Hall offers an affordable and convenient option for your NYC elopement. Less busy then the Marriage Bureau in Manhattan, many couples choose to elope at this Brooklyn location instead. This adorable couple booked our 1-hour elopement package to cover their Brooklyn City Hall elopement ceremony and the photos came out great. Our elopement photographer captured portraits of the pair throughout the Municipal Building (we love the black and white wedding photos) followed by their ceremony and newlywed photos afterward. Many couples looking for places to elope in NYC choose to get married at Brooklyn City Hall to save on cost! Sidney & Earl customized our wedding package to include coverage of their Brooklyn elopement and their upcoming reception at My Moon restaurant wedding venue to celebrate their marriage. The couple exchanged vows at the Brooklyn Municipal Building while their friends and family cheered them on. The bride was beautiful in an elegant wedding gown paired with a rose bouquet while her groom looked great in a blue suit and boutonniere to match. Our photographer captured great newlywed photos of the pair on the steps of the Brooklyn City Hall and can’t wait to take photos at their wedding reception.
