Astoria Park

No matter what borough you call home there is sure to be a public park nearby (and probably within walking distance) that would work great for your engagement photos. Queens is home to over 30 parks and greenspaces with the most well known, Flushing Meadows Corona Park offering a unique globe structure and lush backdrops. If you prefer a less crowded option, Astoria Park is the perfect choice. Known mostly for its’ public pool (it’s the largest in NYC), Astoria Park sits on the edge of the East River and is anchored by the Triborough and Hell Gate Bride, so the photo opps are endless! Our photographers love shooting in Queens and have captured engagements here as well as weddings! The weather was perfect for Catherine and Mark’s Astoria Park engagement photo shoot at Astoria Park. The cute couple booked our photo and video package for their upcoming wedding and wanted to have an engagement photo shoot to celebrate their upcoming nuptials and work with our photographer. We love the way the photos came out and Astoria Park provided the perfect location with diverse backdrops including skyline views as well as greenery and lush lawns. Our engagement photographer even captured a fun photo of the couple in the train station. Be sure to keep an eye out for their wedding photos at Giando on the Water, (a waterfront wedding venue in Brooklyn) if the chemistry is anything like it was for their engagement shoot, we know their wedding photos will be amazing!

Our engagement photographer had a great time capturing this fun engagement photo shoot in Queens! Yasmeen and Alex are adorable together and the popular Astoria Park provided the perfect backdrop for their photo shoot. The pair reached out to our studio seeking an affordable wedding photography package for their upcoming celebration at the nearby Ravel Hotel in Long Island City (the venue hosts weddings in The Penthouse). The gorgeous Indian Bride was adorable in a lace dress and her future Groom coordinated with khakis and button down (we love this stylish hat too!) We fell in love with Latricia and Cordero the moment we met the adorable pair! The chemistry between them was obvious which made capturing their engagement photos in Astoria Park a breeze! The weather was perfect for their fall engagement photos which included waterfront shots (the Queens park has views of the NYC skyline) and some nice street shots too! Our photographer can’t wait to celebrate with Latricia and Cordero for their intimate wedding ceremony and reception at their church. We know their wedding photos are going to be just as great as their Astoria Park engagement pics!
