Fun New York history fact; the New York Aquarium was originally housed in Battery Park before being relocated to Coney Island in 1941. Our team had a great time working with Grace and Grigor. The adorable pair found our studio on the recommended list of vendors for their wedding venue, Deity Events. After chatting with our wedding planning team, the couple booked a photography package to cover their wedding day and added an engagement shoot to celebrate their upcoming union. Grace and Grigor wanted a waterfront location for their engagement photos so our team recommended Battery Park. Their engagement photos came out great and the beautiful setting of the urban park provided the perfect backdrop (it’s one of the few places in NYC that offers unobstructed views of the Statue of Liberty). Couples often ask us what’s the best time of day for an engagement photo session. Our photographers always recommend scheduling your engagement shoot about an hour or two before sunset. This time of day is known as “the golden hour” and provides our experienced photographers with the best lighting to capture stunning engagement photos! The waterfront park is full of beautiful backdrops including the views of the Statue of Liberty and the sunset casts a romantic glow that resulted in amazing engagement photos for the happy couple.
