Our engagement photographer was thrilled to return to Brooklyn Bridge Park to capture Mary and Matteo’s engagement photos. The waterfront park is popular amongst tourists, local residents and happy couples like this pair that want to take advantage of the amazing waterfront and skyline view! Located in the Dumbo section of Brooklyn, the popular park has tons of diverse backdrops to choose from for engagement photos and recently went through a multi-million dollar renovation that made this popular urban park even more popular! If you are considering Brooklyn Bridge Park for your engagement shoot location, our photographer suggests scheduling your shoot for later in the day when it’s less crowded (anytime after 6pm is also great for sunset engagement photos!) Brooklyn Bridge Park Engagements
Offering over 80 acres of waterfront space, Brooklyn Bridge Park serves as the perfect alternative to the popular Central Park for wedding elopements. Couples can choose from three locations within the park for their ceremony with up to 100 guest. Pier One’s Granit Prospect offers breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline and bleacher seating. The Empire Fulton Ferry Boardwalk is adjacent to Jane’s Carousel and offers a huge lush lawn with views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge and finally, if you’ve always dreamt of a beach wedding but decided to keep it local, the Main Street pebble beach is available for elopement ceremonies as well. The “beach” offers a sandy coast, soft waves and views of the city, the perfect backdrop for your ceremony! Be sure to apply for the wedding permit early and pay the $400 fee, as the Park only grants two permits per location per day.
What do you get when you combine a beautiful sunset with a waterfront park in Brooklyn? Sheer magic that’s what! Our engagement photographers joined Nora and Ultan in Brooklyn Bridge Park for their engagement photos to celebrate their upcoming marriage! The popular park is a great engagement photo location because of the various settings throughout the urban park. Nora and Ultan started at Squibb Park Bridge for their engagement shoot, a small footbridge that connects Brooklyn Bridge Park to Brooklyn Heights (another popular location for Brooklyn engagement photos). Our photographer captured great shots of the pair making their way over to the waterfront. They booked our 2 hour engagement shoot and had time for an outfit change.
