Canarsie Park

Brooklyn is not only home to some pretty amazing (and affordable) wedding venues like Dyker Beach Golf Course and Deity Events but the hip borough also has tons of city parks for your pre-wedding photo shoot! Canarsie Park, which is run by the New York City Parks department, is one of them. Offering beautiful wooded trails, waterfront views of Jamaica Bay and perfect backdrops for your engagement photos, the park is easily accessible from the Belt Parkway and the subway. Canarsie Park is a great choice for couples who live in Brooklyn and Queens who don’t want to travel to Manhattan for their engagement shoot. This Canarsie Park engagement session was so much fun! The cute couple reached out to our studio to book an engagement photo session to celebrate their upcoming marriage. They chose the Brooklyn-based park because of its natural setting and easy accessibility for their wedding party members who were going to join in the engagement shoot. Jeanine & Ricky wanted to infuse their cultural heritage into their engagement photos so the future Bride and Groom wore traditional African clothing as well as their wedding party.
