Kelly and Ryan
Our photography team recently had the honor of capturing this beautiful Rockland County rustic wedding at 76 House in Tappan, NY. Built in 1668 this venue is a critical part of the history of town of Tappan. Serving as a rest point for stagecoach travelers, offering refuge to soldiers of the Revolutionary War and even hosting George Washington for dinner, this restaurant is the perfect choice for couples who want to add a bit of American history into their big day!
Kelly & Ryan reached out to our studio in search of an affordable photography package that could be customized to fit their budget and needs. They wanted high quality photos without the astronomical price typically associated with wedding photography!
We started with the Bride as she prepped for the ceremony. Our photographers loved the beautiful handmade details incorporated into their décor. The bridal bouquet was made from silk fabrics and crystal brooches while the centerpieces were paper bouquets made from pages of old novels and buttons.
Kelly wore a strapless A-line gown and topped off her adorable short bob with a bridal headband and veil. Her groom, Ryan sported a black suit and turquoise tie, while their puppy “best man” looked dashing in a bow tie!
They exchanged vows on the main level of the Tavern amongst their family and friends before heading outdoors for intimate portraits.
Tappan NY is only an hour bus ride from the city and offers a refreshing escape from the city without the extended travel of a destination wedding location.
The newlywed’s reception was full of well wishes and great food provided the renowned chefs of 76 House. Everyone involved had a blast and we were honored to be a part of their big day!
