Colleen and Bijan
As proud Brooklynites, our photographers love shooting weddings in this hip borough. There is no shortage of amazing locations that combine both industrial and natural settings. One of our favorites, Brooklyn Bridge Park, offers the perfect backdrop for some pretty cool engagement and wedding photos! Add in an array of quaint owner-run restaurants like Bacchus Bistro and there really is no reason to look anywhere else for the perfect wedding venue. Our clients love the personal attention they get from the staff here and of course it’s convenience to public transportation in Downtown Brooklyn makes their wedding guests just as happy at the end of the night!
Colleen and Bijan reached out to our studio after being referred by the venue (thanks!) seeking a photography and video package to capture their intimate wedding day celebration. We started with the Bride at Even Hotel on Nevins street, only a short walk from the venue. Colleen looked amazing in a white lace gown. Her hair was styled into an updo and decorated with fresh baby’s breath! We loved her unique bouquet, which was an arrangement of wild flowers in peach and white hues.
The Bride and Groom met in the lobby for their first look . They wanted to spend some time together before the ceremony and headed over to Brooklyn Bridge Park for portraits. The weather was perfect and our photographer captured the pair in popular locations like Jane’s Carousel, The Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory and in the arch of the Old Tobacco Warehouse.
The venue was set up for the ceremony in the outdoor garden and as guests arrived they were treated to a glass of champagne and enjoyed the programs left on the chairs as the couple freshened up.
The ceremony was beautiful and included funny memories and personalized vows. Afterwards the outdoor area was set up for dinner while everyone enjoyed cocktail hour. The reception kicked off with the newlyweds first dance and heartfelt speeches.
We had a blast working with the happy couple and can’t wait to return to Bacchus again!
