Brooklyn Historical Society

An affordable Brooklyn wedding venue, the Brooklyn Historical Society is a museum, library and educational center available for weddings. Our photographers have worked at the Brooklyn venue several times and captured beautiful wedding photos and video. Located in the Brooklyn Heights of the hip borough, the venue is easily accessible and offers a unique backdrop for your big day. Guest can rent out the first floor level Great Hall for large weddings of up to 225 guests or for more intimate weddings, the Othmer Library is available. To keep it even more affordable, couples are allowed to bring in their own caterer as well! Our photo and video team love shooting at this venue and often capture photos of couples nearby in Brooklyn Bridge Park before the ceremony. Our team had a great time capturing this beautiful same-sex wedding at Brooklyn Historical Society. The adorable couple, Eric & Luke, reached out to our studio seeking an affordable wedding photography and video package for their big day at the Brooklyn-based wedding venue. Our photographer captured great shots of the pair getting ready at the Brooklyn Marriott before heading over to the Promenade for waterfront wedding photos! The grooms got hitched in the library of The Brooklyn Historical Society under a gorgeous chuppah draped in florals and ended the night with dinner and dancing! They booked our affordable photography package and asked our team to start at the unique venue on their big day. The Othmer Library was perfect for their intimate wedding. The couple and their guests started with cocktails as they enjoyed live music. The dark cherry wood in the library and walls of books creates such a cozy atmosphere that you might forget you are in Brooklyn at all!
