Dea and Jeff
Were you a member of Kappa Delta Phi and have a ton of sorority girlfriends who are dying to be in your wedding and you can’t decide who to invite? Or maybe you’ve chosen to forgo a bridal party all together and just keep it simple. What ever your reasons, there are tons of ways to involve those who aren’t a part of your wedding party so they feel just as special!
For any Bride that has planned a wedding, you know there are 101 (ok more like 540) things to do before walking down the aisle. While most couples rely on their bridesmaids and groomsmen to assist with the daunting tasks, one great way to involve your besties is to delegate some of the wedding tasks to them. This is a great way for your girlfriends (and boyfriends) to feel involved. Have them get a list of potential florist and limo companies together. Perhaps have your groom’s soccer buddy turned honorary brother call around and get pricing for DJ’s. Involving more people in the wedding planning process is not only a great way to make them feel like a special part of your day but also takes some pressure off you!
While giving a wedding speech at the reception may be reserved for the Parents, Best Man and Maid of Honor, you can invite your other close friends to toast you at your rehearsal dinner. Typically the rehearsal dinner only includes the wedding party and immediate family so your invited friends will feel like they are part of the “wedding team” by being invited and asked to say a few kinds words.
Switching up the seating arrangement at the wedding is a great way to make your closest friends feel special as well. After all you have been with your wedding party members all day, do you really need to sit with them for dinner as well? Let them mingle in with the other guests and have your “honorary” maids and grooms sit with you at the head table!
Our photography and video team recently had the honor of capturing the Long Island based wedding of this adorable couple who made sure everyone at their wedding felt like a guest of honor! We knew we were in for a good time when we first met Dea, Jeff and their cute puppy! They wanted to make sure every moment of their big day was captured and booked our 2 photographer/1 Videographer package with an engagement shoot. (great opportunity to work with our team before the wedding).
We started with pair as they got ready at the Brooklyn Marriott. Dea was stunning in a strapless lace gown with fitted bodice and train. She wore her hair in long waves and completed her look with a veil. Her soon-to-be-hubby was picture ready in a blue and green tuxedo and bow tie.
Everyone headed over to the venue, Carlyle of Lawrence for the first look. Offering a beautiful sanctuary for ceremonies and a full service ballroom for your reception, this venue works with every couple to customize a menu to fit your taste and budget.
After being pronounced husband and wife, Dea and Jeff enjoyed cocktails with their guests and danced the night away. We were truly honored to be a part of this celebration and wish them a lifetime of happiness!
