Phoebe and Ritchie
I know what you’re thinking, guys don’t do wedding planning, we propose, have a fun prewedding weekend bash with the fellas and show up on time (and sober) for the ceremony. While all of those things are important (especially the sober part) there are many other fun ways to get involved in the planning of your big day that will make your future wife very happy. (you know what they say happy wife = happy life). Check out our pointers below;
Accompany your Bride to check out venues. There are over 300 wedding reception venues for Long Island listed on The Knot alone. While we don’t suggest visiting every single one, Chateau Briand is a must see! Our photographers love shooting there. Offering indoor and outdoor ceremony options, superb service and customized menu’s this venue should be one of your first stops in Long Island.
Help compile the guest list. Wedding invitations are typically sent out six to eight weeks before the wedding and RSVP’s months before that, so working on your guest list right away is key. Put your organization skills to use and create a list of all potential guests and their mailing address to help your Bride out.
Plan a “no wedding planning allowed” date night. Once you “put a ring on it” your girl will spend most of her waking hours planning your big day. From bouquet choices to gown fittings to cake tastings, there are hundreds if not thousands of choices to make before you get to the alter. Help your Bride (and yourself) maintain some sanity by planning a romantic night out where you can enjoy each other’s company and agree not to discuss wedding planning.
This adorable couple Phoebe and Richie contacted our studio to plan their Long Island wedding . The groom was actually the first to reach out to us and was delegated with finding an affordable high-quality photographer that was familiar with their venue. We were honored to be chosen and got to work with the pair to plan their big day.
We started with the bride ad groom at the Marco Laguardia Hotel in Flushing as they got ready. Phoebe was beautiful in a strapless gown and her groom looked photo ready in a black tuxedo. They shared an intimate moment before heading out for St. Mary’s Nativity Church in Queens where they exchanged vows in a Catholic
Ceremony. After being pronounced Husband and Wife our photography team captured some fun wedding party photos at Kissena Park.
The day was ended at Chateua Briand with a reception that included touching speeches, a choreographed dance by the Bride and Groom and live music! We were honored to be a part of this wedding celebration and wish the happy newlyweds a lifetime of happiness !
