Elisa and Stephen
Does your wedding call for flip-flops for a beach ceremony or 4-inch pumps (throw some flats in your purse for dancing ladies) for an indoor ballroom celebration? Where ever you are hosting your wedding its always a good idea to let your guests know the Dress Code before hand. The last thing you want is your high school bestie showing up in a deep V-neck (and lace push-up bra) for your super-religious Jewish ceremony!
Using descriptions like “Formal/Black Tie”, “Dressy Casual” or “Festive” will allow your guests to dress according to their personal style but stay within the boundaries of your event.
Want your best man to deliver an awesome speech highlighting the funny (but shareable) memories he has of you two when you first started dating? Well, It’s probably a good idea to give him a few weeks notice to write a speech that he can recite in case his nerves (or the cocktails) affect his judgment! Remember, the speeches your guests give will be recorded forever in your awesome cinematography wedding trailer that we provide (don’t worry we can edit out the bloopers), so letting them know before the wedding reception gives them the opportunity to create a memorable speech.
Every couple doesn’t have the luxury of having their ceremony, reception and portraits all in one place like Elisa & Stephen did, so be sure to consider how your guests will get around on your big day. Providing a party bus or making sure your guests have the number for a local taxi company is a great way to make sure Aunt Ida isn’t late for the first dance!
Our photography and video team had a blast capturing the nuptials of this adorable couple. We started with the pair as they got ready at “The One” Boutique Hotel (how fitting) in Flushing, NY. The Bride and Groom opted to have a first look before the ceremony and shared some intimate time taking fun portraits.
We loved Elisa’s lace gown and Stephen’s grey hat and green converse! The guests enjoyed cocktails before the ceremony (great idea) on the lawn of Flushing Town Hall. The venue offers art programs to the community as well as space rental for weddings and events.
The two wed on the steps of The Town Hall as their guests watched. Afterwards everyone headed indoors for a buffet style reception and dancing. We were honored to be a part of their day and it looked like all their guests were too. We wish them a lifetime of happiness!c
