Choosing a ceremony space or wedding venue that holds significance to you as a couple is key when deciding where to tie the knot. Whether it’s on Bow Bridge in Central Park where you had your first kiss, on the shores of the Long Island sound where you spent lazy summer evenings together, or even at your local restaurant where you had your first date; exchanging vows in your very own “special space” is always the right choice. Our photography team joined Adriana & Franklyn at Juliette, a quaint French inspired restaurant located in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, to capture their big day. Check it out!
Our photographers love intimate wedding celebrations. While not possible for every couple, having a smaller guests list can alleviate a lot of the stress of coordinating you big day and open up options for smaller (and more affordable) venues like this adorable restaurant in Williamsburg. Juliette’s food philosophy is to offer French inspired high quality fresh ingredients with minimal handling. The venue offers their entire space for events which includes a main dining room adorned with extravagant greenery and an open air rooftop terrace (perfect for outdoor celebrations!) Adriana & Franklyn chose this venue to host their fall wedding celebration for 60 of their closest family and friends.
Our photographer started with the Bride as she got ready at the Henry Norman Hotel with her bridesmaids. Adriana chose a bouquet of season flowers that included roses and sunflowers. She wore a beautiful ivory chiffon gown with beading on the bodice. Her bridesmaids wore navy dresses to coordinate. Popular for weddings, the couple rented a vintage taxicab to get the Bride over to the venue where the groom and guests waited on the rooftop. Their outdoor ceremony was filled with funny memories and personalized vows before their officiant pronounced them Married!
After wards everyone headed downstairs to the main dining room for their reception. The tables were decorated with rustic elements like chalkboard table numbers and wine corks. We loved the collection of plants hanging from the ceiling that gave this indoor space an outdoor feel. The couple took some time for a few portraits before joining their guests. They enjoyed touching speeches from their wedding party and had their first dance as Husband and Wife before the DJ got the party started. Everyone had a blast enjoying the music and photo booth the couple provided. The evening ended with the traditional cake cutting and we were so happy to have been a part of it all.
We wish them a lifetime of happiness!
