Katie and John
Katie and John contacted our studio seeking a photography package to capture their big day. Both midtown residents they wanted their wedding photography to include iconic Manhattan locations. The bride and groom stuck to tradition and got ready separately before the ceremony. John celebrated with his groomsmen and family at the apartment the couple shares, while his Bride prepped at The Towers of Waldorf Astoria with her bridesmaids and parents.
Katie was stunning in a strapless sweetheart neckline gown with full skirt. She wore her hair in a loose bun and added in elegant accessories to finish the look. John kept it classic in a black tuxedo and bow tie.
The bride rode a vintage NYC taxicab to the Holy Trinity Cathedral (check out the “vintage” prices printed on the taxi) where her groom awaited her. The happy couple were pronounced Husband and Wife in a Greek orthodox ceremony and showered with rose petals as they exited the church.
Afterwards, the newlyweds headed to Central Park for portraits. Central Park is the perfect location for wedding photos. You can find lakes, open fields and beautiful architecture all within walking distance.
Also located in Central park, The Loeb Boathouse is known for beautiful views of the lake and it’s convenient location in the heart of the park. They offer an award winning menu and can be reserved are open from brunch to dinner year round.
The reception was filled with great food, live music and of course some pretty awesome dancing (and limbo challenges) to celebrate Katie and John’s union. Everyone had a great time and we were honored to be a part of their big day!
