One of two available event spaces in the historic Brooklyn based Prospect Park, the Picnic House is a charming raw space with floor to ceiling windows, working fireplace and hardwood floors. With the exception of catering, couples getting married at the Picnic House have the option of bringing in their own vendors to stay in charge of their budget. Our wedding planners recommend choosing your vendors from their vetted partners on the “Vendors we love list” (check us out under the photography section).
The staff at the Picnic house are eager to help you plan every detail of your big day. From hosting your ceremony on the parks grounds of the park to executing a sit down dinner for up to 175 guest (240 for cocktail). All couples have access to over 585 acres of natural beauty giving you and your guests a destination feel right in the heart of Brooklyn! (and the perfect backdrop for your wedding pics!)

Our wedding photography and video team have captured beautiful weddings at the Prospect Park Picnic House for years and are never disappointed! The beautiful setting in Prospect Park paired with the affordable rental price for the raw wedding space, makes the Picnic house the perfect choice for couples seeking a Brooklyn wedding venue. Lucy & Kenny’s celebration at the Prospect Picnic House was perfect! Their wedding photos and video really showcase diversity of the wedding venue and the various ways the space can be used. The adorable pair had their first look on the lawn of the Picnic house followed by a romantic ceremony on the stage of the venue (there is a working fireplace on the stage that is great for winter weddings at the Prospect Park Picnic House ). Click on the link below to see more of their beautiful wedding photos and be sure to watch their wedding video trailer, it’s one of our favorites!

Sarah and Kenta
Our photographer had a blast capurting the beautiful Prospect Park day-wedding of Sarah and Kenta. The great thing about a daytime wedding is having the entire day and night (if you chose) to celebrate! Their timeline included a first look at the family-owned Japanese Bar, Bar Goto, a ceremony and luncheon at Prospect Park Picnic House and an afterparty at Brooklyn-based Tooker Alley. The weather was perfect, the couple and guests were all gorgeous and we think the photography came out great! Check out it.

Kim and John
Our photography team headed over to the popular Brooklyn-based Prospect Park Picnic house to capture another amazing wedding celebration. We love the simple elegance and laid back nature of this couple’s big day. Kim and John kept it simple and minimized stress by getting ready in the same hotel, taking the ever-reliable NYC subway to their venue and hosting their ceremony and reception in the same space. They added in a few personal touches, Scottish traditions and a waffle truck to make this picnic house wedding unforgettable. Check it out!

Prospect Park Picnic House Wedding Photos
The debate on whether or not to have a first look before the ceremony tends to be a hot topic among couples planning their big day. Preserving the tradition of seeing each other for the first time at the ceremony or sharing an intimate moment before the big day gets started to see each other is a personal decision that can only be made by the couple. Our recent clients Megan and Wesly opted for a first look and did their reveal in the park before their wedding the Prospect Park Picnic House. They took care of all their Bride and Groom portraits and wedding party photos before the guests arrived and had the luxury of enjoying their cocktail hour later. Our photography and video studio is listed as a preferred vendor for the venue and receive a 10% discount on our already low affordable pricing! Check it out…
