If you are afraid of heights, living in (or visiting) a city that is mostly made up of skyscrapers is probably not your best bet. Some of the most popular tourist destination spots in the Big Apple require going over 800 feet into the sky! Top of the Rock, where you can ascend 70 floors into the sky to take in 360-degree views of the city and The observatory deck at The Empire State building (the top deck is 102 stories up!) are just a few examples! While some couples prefer to keep their feet planted firmly on the ground, NYC offers an array of beautiful rooftop spaces to host your big day if you want to take advantage of the amazing skyline views.
Ramscale Studio, located in the West Village offers 3200 sq feet of raw loft space for your reception and a beautiful rooftop that can seat up to 100 guests for an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour! The floor to ceiling windows offer your guests unobstructed views of the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline (you can even see the Empire State Building).
Laure and Benjamin contacted our studio seeking a photography package to cover their wedding day at the unique venue. They planed to host an outdoor rooftop cermony at the venue followed by an indoor reception.
We started with the Bride as she got ready at Ramscale. They wanted plenty of photos of the details like the beautiful fresh floral centerpieces, confetti ballons and of course their adorable fur baby! The Bride got glamed up with hair and make up while the rooftop space was set up for her ceremony.
She wore a stunning strapless gown with tiered skirt, long veil and carried a white rose bridal bouquet. Her groom awaited her at the end of the aisle and looked great in a black tuxedo. The couple exchanged vows before their friends and family and the officiant announced them Husband and Wife! After wards the newlyweds headed indoors for a few portraits before their guests joined them for cocktails.
The bride changed into a shorter dress for the reception and even showed off some of her yoga poses (impressive!) Everyone loved the wedding favors of champagne bubbles and the DJ kept the party going well into the night.
We were honored to be a part of their big day and wish them a liftime of happiness!
