Alicia and Alex
This adorable couple, Alicia and Alex employed several of our no-fail tips for streamlining your wedding day festivities and photography & video timeline.
From the first point of contact we remind all of our clients that this is YOUR big day! Don’t forget to relax and actually enjoy all the things you have been planning for the last year! Keep reading for our advice to pull off the event to be remembered (without loosing all your hair in the process)
#1 –Secure an “amazingly capable and experienced” photography and video studio that received 5 star ratings on The Knot, Yelp and Wedding Wire (hint hint…we mean us!). All jokes aside, we make booking your wedding photo & video package as easy as possible. We offer competitively affordable pricing, build your own package option, flexible payment plans and online booking….and if you visit our studio Sunset Park studio we can even make you a cup of organic green tea (great for relaxing the nerves)!
#2 – Choose a venue that is easily accessible for you and your guests and offers ceremony space as well. Whether that means a quick elopement ceremony in central park followed by a brunch in the city, or an elegant banquet hall in Westchester County like The Fountainhead (this bride and groom’s choice). For over 50 years this facility has hosted thousands of events from weddings, to Bar Mitzvahs. They offer in house catering and a wedding menu that can be customized to meet each couple’s taste and budget. Having your ceremony, cocktail and reception in one location will eliminate the need to rally your wedding party, sleepy flower girl and older grandparents for photos after traveling between locations! Most venues have outdoor gardens or grand halls like this one for beautiful bride and groom portraits.
#3 – Choose a “point person” to help organize family photos. You know that cousin you haven’t seen since you were 4 but she swears you were the best of friends back in the day? Well she will be pretty upset if she doesn’t get a photo with you. Eliminate the need to remember everyone on the family shot list and appoint someone who is familiar with everyone to help our photography team get all the important family shots.
#4 – Last but not least, Keep your “must have shots” to a minimum (in other words, let the professionals (us) take care of capturing your big day! There are thousands of well meaning blog writers tweeting, “instagraming” and “facebooking” long list of shots every bride should make sure her photographer captures. Do yourself a favor (and us) unfollow them immediately. Seriously though, we shoot weddings every single weekend, we capture every 1st kiss, every longing look the groom has while the bride walks down he aisle and even the awkward rendition of the “Macarena” your bestie cousin decided to break in at the reception hall!
In conclusion, your wedding day is about marrying your best friend, having some good food and enjoying some good music in the process. Try to relax, hire Le Image to capture it all and watch the magic unfold!
