Eva and Steve
Weddings are meant to be a celebration of love and should express the uniqueness of each couple. Incorporating personal elements into your big day is a great way of giving your wedding guests a peek into your love story. From choreographing a dance to your favorite song during the reception to choosing a gown in your favorite color for your ceremony, your big day is the perfect opportunity to let your personal taste take center stage.
Another great way to include some of your favorite things, while also treating your wedding guests to a treat is to give away fun favors. Historically, many brides would give almonds wrapped in fabric (a custom in the middle east) to represent fertility, wealth and happiness. But modern day couples have offered everything from home made granola and flip flops for those tired dancing feet to a custom coffee blend for their early morning ceremony like this adorable couple did.
Eva and Steve contacted our studio seeking a photographer to capture their brunch wedding at The Pearl Room in Brooklyn. Located in the Bay Ridge section, this intimate eatery is the most awarded restaurant in the borough! They offer an affordable brunch menu for private parties and exclusive use of the space for weddings!
Our photographer started with the Bride, as she got ready with her girls at the Best Western Gregory on 4th avenue. She was stunning in a lace-wedding gown and long veil. The ceremony took place in the sunroom where an aisle of baby’s breath led the way for the bride. The two exchanged vows and were pronounced Husband and Wife. Afterwards everyone enjoyed brunch and a cup of Joe from the happy newlyweds.
In true New York style Eva and Steve ended their wedding day by walking to the train (and stopping for some fun portraits on the way) and took the subway home! We were honored to be a part of their celebration and wish them a lifetime of happiness!
