Nicole and Sammie
It’s said that rain on your wedding day is good luck. Representing cleansing, fertility and unity between the newlyweds. We certainty hope this wedding superstition is true for our most recent couple, Nicole and Sammie.
We had the honor of capturing their beautiful beach wedding at the Staten Island based venue The Vanderbilt at South Beach. Offering dramatic ocean views, kosher menu options for Jewish celebrations and elegantly decorated banquet rooms, this venue is easily accessible from all the boroughs while still offering a “destination” feel.
Our photography and video team started with the couple as they got ready for their beach ceremony. Nicole was stunning in an ivory lace gown and Sammie looked great in a black tuxedo and white bow tie. The bride wore her hair down in loose beach curls (how fitting!) and her groom honored the Jewish heritage of donning a Yarmulke on your wedding day to show respect toward God.
Nicole and Sammie took beautiful portraits on the boardwalk before their evening beach ceremony. The sudden rainstorm didn’t stop their intimate exchange of vows and they became husband and wife under a rustic inspired Chuppah.
They later joined their guest for a fun wedding reception full of traditions and great music that kept their family and friends on the dance floor! Our photography and video team had a blast sharing in their big day and wish them the very best.
