Brooklyn Bridge Park Elopement
We recently had the honor of capturing this destination wedding couple Maggie & Alex who were married abroad and wanted a wedding photo session in Brooklyn Bridge Park to celebrate their union.Brooklyn is home to some of the best affordable wedding venues in New York City, so its no wonder more and more couples are choosing to get hitched in the hip borough. Our wedding photographers have worked at most of the Brooklyn wedding venues and often suggest Brooklyn Bridge Park to couples getting married at a local venue like 26 Bridge, Deity Events or Dumbo Loft . Brooklyn Bridge Park is also popular for couples who elope at City Hall and want to take wedding photos on the water after wards (its an easy walk from City Hall across the Brooklyn Bridge to get to the park). We have even captured fun engagement photos on the Brooklyn Bridge! Whatever your wedding day plans, Brooklyn Bridge Park is the perfect choice for wedding photography in NYC.
Our Brooklyn wedding photography studio was located steps from the park (we sure do miss that view!) right on the waterfront so our photographers know the Dumbo area and Brooklyn Bridge Park like the back of their hand! The public park is free to use and you don’t need a wedding permit to capture Brooklyn Bridge Park wedding photos. There are a variety of backgrounds to choose from for your photos including a “beach area” in between the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge. At night the NYC skyline lights up setting off a romantic glow and unobstructed view of Manhattan! Brooklyn Bridge Park is also home to Jane’s carousel which is a favorite amongst our elopement clients and our photographers have captured wedding ceremonies and family portraits by the carousel!
The renovated tobacco warehouse, St. Ann’s warehouse, offers a industrial-chic option for your Brooklyn wedding photos and features bricked archways and an open-air garden. A few steps outside of the entrance of the park, the Dumbo area offers cobble stone streets (one of the few places in NYC that still have them) , changing art installations, graffitied walls and several cafe’s and restaurants (including One Girl Cookies) to grab a bite to eat after your wedding photo shoot.
