Brooklyn Bridge Park Engagement
Google reports that their Android devices take 93 million selfies a day! (that doesn’t even count Iphone users)! And while we are all fans of the instantly beautifuling Insta filters, posing for professional photos and getting that perfect shot is a whole different ball game, especially on your wedding day when you are worrying about floral deliveries, DJ set up and cake pops! (side note, hire our NYC wedding planner to handle all that for you!) Our photographers are experts at making couples feel relaxed in front of the camera and adding an engagement shoot to your wedding photography package is another sure way to get some practice in before the big day (and get a chance to work with your wedding photographer before hand as well)
Sharon and Sean, who are planning their wedding at Snug Harbor Botanical Garden, knew they wanted to add an engagement shoot to their wedding package. Besides receiving great professional photos to celebrate their engagement and display at their wedding, they wanted to work with their photographer before the big day to get comfortable taking professional photos. Brooklyn Bridge Park had special meaning to the Bride and Groom (keep reading to find out why) and they loved the beautiful backdrops including the waterfront and skyline view ! We love the casual vibe of their Brooklyn engagement photos. The pair wore jeans and just enjoyed each other’s company while our photographer captured their Brooklyn Bridge Park engagement photos. Our engagement photographer gave the couples some pointers for fun poses but these two lovebirds were naturals in front of the camera! We even got the chance to find out more about how they met and fell in love and what they are looking forward to on their big day!
How did you meet and fall in love?
We met 5 years ago at a crossfit gym on Staten Island and one of our first dates was walking the Brooklyn Bridge.
We had such a wonderful time enjoying the sights in Dumbo that day and thought it was fitting to have our engagement shoot overlooking the same beautiful backdrop.
How has the wedding planner process been so far?
So far the wedding planning process has been a lot of fun, we didn’t want a long engagement so we have been checking things off of our list pretty quickly. We actually only saw two wedding venues because we knew immediately Snug Harbor was the only place we could see ourselves getting married at.
What are you looking most forward to on the big day?
We are most looking forward to having all of our friends and family together in one place celebrating our love.
Also, we can’t wait to party and eat all the tasty food we picked out!
