Casual At Home Engagement
One of the best tips for capturing a great photo is to just be yourself. Unless you are a seasoned fashion model (or famous selfie-taking socialite) , most of us don’t have the slightest idea how to pose when a professional photographer turns their lens in your direction. So deciding to have a casual engagement shoot at home like Mai & Yin did, is a great way to ensure you will be comfortable! The engaged couple booked our photography wedding package for their big day at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and added in an engagement shoot. Neither the future Bride nor Groom wanted “posed photos” and asked our photographer to meet them at their brownstone take it from there.
Our photographer captured the pair hanging out in their home doing some of their favorite things, like reading and sitting on the stoop enjoying a cup of coffee . Their apartment was beautiful and gave the photographer a great backdrop to work with! Afterwards they changed and headed over to a local park for a fun game of basketball that ended in a piggy back (that’s one strong Bride!) We loved the chill vibe of this fall engagement shoot and can’t wait to see how their wedding photos turn out!
