Feast at Round Hill Wedding
Le Image had the great pleasure of providing the wedding photography for New York couple, Jem and Andy. This beautiful couple was married at the gorgeous wedding venue, Feast at Round Hill in Washingtonville, New York. The couple met over ten years ago when the two were underclassmen at Wesleyan University. Although the two clicked right away, the two were only just friends until Jem was about to graduate. Since then, the two have been inseparable.
Jem confides that her Type A personality became a “Type A+++” with the stress of planning her wedding. She certainly did her research and provided our New York wedding photographers with a whole list of desired wedding photo shots from stock photography websites and other real weddings she found online. Our wedding photographer reviewed the lengthy list during their meeting and while he said he would keep the photos as a guideline, he asked that the couple “trust him”. As scary as that sounds, the bride confirms, “He definitely got all the images that were important to us, but in a natural candid way which was soooooo much better than the stagnant, posed pictures we might have gotten if we went off my shot list”. We bring up this story for our New York brides who fear not being in control of every aspect of their wedding. When you choose your wedding photographer, remember, you picked them because their photos resonated with you. If you believe in their aesthetic and skill, your wedding photographs will come out beautifully, too.
When asked, what her number one tip for brides is, Jem simply exclaimed, “Let go!” Once all the last minute tasks were finished at the wedding venue, Jem, her sisters and her mother put a “moratorium on wedding planning”. She spent the day before her wedding enjoying time with the “…most important women in my life…[which] set the stage for the next day”. A lovely sentiment from a lovely bride! We are so glad we were able to provide the New York wedding photography for the loving couple and wish them the best. Congratulations!
