Red Maple Vineyard Wedding
New York State is by far one of the most diverse states in the US. Offering the excitement of a busy city that boost Broadway plays and award winning entertainment, and an endless array of activities (very popular amongst tourist from all over the world), while simultaneously having access to rural areas offering mountain views, famous ski slopes and renowned vineyards only a quick train/bus/car ride away.
So if you are getting married in New York be prepared to have a hard time deciding between the thousands of wedding venues offered in our great state. There is sure to be something for every couples taste (and budget). Whether a quick elopement in Central Park followed by dinner for two at Top of the Rock is your thing, or an outdoor ceremony on a farm surrounded by horses, cows and pigs, there is no “right or wrong” way to get married in NYC. Take this beautiful couple Ellen & Jeremy for example. Our photography and video team recently had the honor of working with the newlyweds for their big day at Hudson Valley based Red Maple Vineyard.
Both wine and outdoor enthusiast they knew they wanted their wedding day to incorporate things that they enjoyed doing together as a couple. Only two hours away from our Brooklyn Studio, Red Maple Vineyards transports you into a rustic world of rolling hills, fruit and vegetable gardens and of course a vineyard filled with sun drenched grapes waiting to become a delicious variety of wines offered by the venue.
Sitting on 83-acres of land the property offers wedding packages that include an outdoor ceremony, cocktails on luscious green lawns and a tented reception under the stars. It’s the perfect choice for a destination wedding “feel” without the travel and expense of one!
Our team started with the Bride and Groom as they prepped for their big day at the vineyard. Ellen was breathtaking in a white strapless gown accented with delicate lace and a blusher veil. We loved the attention to detail with the embellished wedding shoes and wine cork initials! The bride prepped in the dressing suite and met her groom for a first look under a romantic vine- covered patio on the grounds.
Jeremy was dressed to a T in a customized grey suit and tie accented with a red boutonniere (made with the same flowers in Ellen’s bridal bouquet). The couple shared some intimate time together before their ceremony for portraits throughout the venue’s grounds.
Their family and friends joined them for a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Deer Ridge Point the highest point of the venue offering 180-degree views of the Hudson River. It doesn’t get more romantic than saying “I Do” under crystal clear skies while a hot air balloon flies by (great timing!).
After the ceremony the guest enjoyed passed hors-d’oeuvre while Ellen and Jeremy captured a few more romantic photos under the trees of the vineyard. The night ended with a tented reception outdoors and everyone had a blast! We wish them many years of happiness!
