The Barn at Old Bethpage Village Restoration
If a traditional wedding venue with chandeliers and ballrooms isn’t your thing, choosing a unique location like Old Bethpage Village Restoration to host your big day may be the right choice for you. Victoria and Lawrence contacted our studio seeking an affordable photography package to capture every special moment of their wedding at the Long Island based venue.
Our photographers were excited to join the pair on the grounds of the historic site. Old Bethpage Village Restoration is open to the public as a living museum. Participants get to step back in time and experience what it was like to live in New York in the 19th century. Visitors get to make candles, shape clay and leave their millennial ways behind for a day!
We started with the happy couple and their wedding party for outdoor portraits. It’s rare we get to capture such beautiful scenery so it was a real treat for our photography team. Victoria was stunning in a vintage wedding gown featuring a lace top and flowing skirt. Her bridesmaids were equally beautiful in pastel dresses and they all had bouquets of baby’s breath ( a great financial alternative to the more expensive bridal bouquets!)
Lawrence and his crew looked sharp in black and white wedding attire. The groom sported suspenders and a bow tie with classic converse chucks! His groomsmen wore the same look while his groomswoman wore an adorable lace top and black skirt to coordinate.
The Bride and Groom spent some time together in the café (check out the nostalgic drink menu) and on the porch of one of the historic houses on the grounds while their guests arrived.
The ceremony took place outdoors on the beautiful lawn behind the Barn. A replica of the original building from 1860, the Barn offers a rustic space that can accommodate up to 300 guests. Victoria and Lawrence exchanged vows under a rustic arch made of branches while their family and friends looked on.
After wards everyone headed inside for cocktails in the Barn. The couple had their first dance as Husband and Wife as the reception started. The venue offers a delicious menu of contemporary and old fashioned choices including raspberry lemonade and a cupcake tower!
Everyone had an amazing time celebrating with the newlyweds, they enjoyed great music and food and even had some fun at the photo booth. We wish Victoria and Lawrence a lifetime of happiness!
