The Village Club of Sands Point Wedding
Built in 1916 the Italian Renaissance style mansion at The Village Club of Sands Point sits on over 200 acres of beautiful lawns, estate gardens and stunning waterfront views. Offering New Yorkers membership only access to a 18-hole Golf Course, Olympic size swimming pool and award winning dining, it’s no wonder engaged couples are flocking to get hitched at this beautiful country club!
Emily and Alec contacted our studio seeking a photography package to capture every special moment of their big day at the beautiful venue. We were excited to visit the historical Long Island based wedding venue and knew that the lush grounds and exquisite mansion would provide the perfect backdrop for their photos.
We started with the Bride, as she got ready in the bridal suite with her girls. Emily chose a strapless gown with a flowing train and lace underlay. Her hair was styled in romantic waves and accented with a crystal comb. Her open toe pumps also had crystal embellishment and paired well with her dress. The bridesmaids all wore adorable Asian inspired floral robes before changing into their peach colored dresses. The groom and his groomsmen spent some time “prepping” by taking some fun outdoor photos while waiting for the girls.
Emily and Alec opted for a first look before the ceremony to have some intimate time together before the guests arrived. They met outside on the beautiful grounds of the venue for Bride and Groom portraits before heading inside the mansion for additional photos. The amazing architecture of the venue is perfect for wedding photos and our photographer took full advantage of all the great photo opportunities with the willing couple. Before heading over to sign the ketubah, the wedding party got in on the fun and joined the Bride and Groom for fun photos on the lawn.
Jewish tradition calls for the couple to sign a certificate that outlines their responsibility to each other as partners and their commitment to the sacred union of marriage before being married. Emily and Alec were ready to take the plunge and joined their guests for their outdoor ceremony under a wooden chuppah laced in fabric and flowers. They exchanged heartfelt vows as their family and friends watched. After being pronounced Husband and Wife everyone headed inside to get the party started!
The reception room was decorated beautifully with tall floral centerpieces and personalized wedding favors. The newlyweds enjoyed speeches and delicious food with their guests before hitting the dance floor. Of course no Jewish wedding is complete without the Hora, or chair dance, where the brave newlyweds are lifted into the air by their guests!
Emily and Alec made sure to keep their guests entertained with a fun photo booth and bouquet toss. They were sent off in style with sparklers after the sunset. We had such a great time working with this adorable couple and wish them a lifetime of happiness!
