NYC Same Sex Elopement
Feast your eyes on these handsome grooms, David & James all the way here from the UK! We were introduced to the engaged couple through one of our favorite NYC officiants, Annie Lawrence. They planned to come to New York City to elope in the iconic Central Park. They wanted an intimate ceremony that reflected the special bond between them and our team of photographers and videographers were thrilled to oblige!
Opting for our popular elopement package, David and James knew they didn’t need full day coverage but still wanted their big day to be special. We started with them at the Park Central Hotel on 7th avenue as they helped each other get ready. They snapped wedding day selfies for Facebook to keep their family and friends involved before heading out for the park.
The same sex couple was elegantly dressed in slim navy blue suits and red neckties. They added their personal style to the wedding suits with white rose boutonnieres, a button down vest and double-breasted jacket. The couple joyfully welcomed the unseasonably bright and warm December day, as they held hands and made their way to Ladies Pavilion for their ceremony. After becoming husbands, they shared intimate moments throughout the park and although it was full of tourist, it seemed they were the only two there.
Later, they took romantic wedding portraits in Brooklyn Bridge Park and Dumbo area. (Although it could have been mistaken for one of our fashion shoots with this gorgeous pair!). Just like any other couple taking this big step, David and James have had their share of ups and downs, and have become stronger because of it. They were excited to commit themselves to a lifetime of love and loyalty and our team was honored to be a part of their love story.
